trying to do "Interact" with NPC and hand-in item but i cant figure it out.

Can you elaborate further. I'm having the same problem and managed to do it once before but can't remember how i did it. I select the turnin editor and enter the right step# and item slot but can't get it to add to the step list.

Screen shot shows how I was able to do it in steps3/4 but i'm unable to add another for steps6/7

You have a bad step that you might have to take out manually. The #4 step says "nil", so something went wrong. You might need to re-select the profile to be edited and let it reload and check the file on that step to verify that it is valid/exists.
