Trial / Demo modes ?
#21
I realize the thread is pretty much asking for how many people would like this for it to be beneficial to be added. Since the con reasons for not wanting a Trial / Demo modes is not that much argumentative.
For consumers, it gives benefit of negating a bad buy. For developers, it gives them a higher % of actual completed purchases and overall higher sales % if their add-on works like how it's supposed to.

It's definitely difficult to gauge a store add-on without trying it, although there is a good amount of information on how you'd be disappointed if you were to head to the forum page for the add-on you're curious in.
Informative consumers, shop with confident. Ask question if needed, etc etc.

This isn't to disagree with the idea of demo mode, or to , but rather to suggest viewing feedbacks on forum for those add-ons as one more piece of information to consider before buying an add-on if a trial mode isn't implemented. In the very least, you should read the summary of each add-on, not just the title of what it does.

Its for myself a difference if i buy an addon or try it for a few hours/days. I guess its also easier not to ask for a refund if there is an trial.

I am confused :-D

Absolutely yes! Perfect reason why?? I just downloaded an app directly from the store that is buggy as hell and gets stuck all the time. Completely not worth the money and something I could have determined in just a few hours of trial with the addon. At the very least, it would keep them on their toes with updates and making sure their mods are working or else lose sales.
