Newest Update Shuts down Game

I've updated my launcher, no issues.  However when I attach it to my FFXIV, it crashes my game upon "starting game".  Anyone else and if so any fixes for this?

Been running it for about a month with no issues until this patch.


* What OS are you running? Windows 7
* What AV is installed?(Antivirus) ESET, exclusions applied
* Where is the bot installed?(installed path) C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxiv_dx11.exe
* Do you have any Anti-Malware installed? No
* do you have Mumble, Teamspeak, Fraps, any other recording software, Nvida Gamers Experience, Raptr, Caytalist Control Center, guildworks,Teamviwer installed? No
* Did you follow the install instructions found HERE Yes
* Are you running the bot as admin? Yes
* Are you using the attach button or having minionapp launch the client? Attach button
*Are you running any Bot addons? No

Hello guys,

Same here, a problem with the latest update. 

I cannot update MinionLauncher_64.exe, updater loop in update process and even if I bypass the update, I cannot attach it to the game.

Yep, same problem here. I'll try the reinstall and see if it works like it did last week.

are you re-installing the client or the game?  I tried re-installing the client and no luck here

Solved the issue by uninstalling Minion completely and deleting the folder, and reinstalled it.

Did a reinstall of Minion. As long as I don't execute the current update for Minionlauncher_64.exe it is still useable. The minute I execute that update minion will no longer attach. Hopefully that will continue to work until someone figures out what's wrong. I am not running any virus software at the moment so I know that is not the problem. Looks to me like an error in the install process of the new Minionlauncher_64.exe. The one that opens the DOS window during the install process.

I am still having problems with the update of the Minionlauncher_64.exe MD5 Changed update. I am able to continue to use Minion by saving a working copy of Minionlauncher_64.exe before the update and then restore from it after the update. BTW, I have no trouble with any of the other updates that have occurred over the past several days since I have had this problem. I am running Win10 and using Windows Defender with the C:/MINIONAPP folder excluded.

So, I launch Minionlauncher and it comes up as normal. Does a check for updates and tells me there is an update for Minionlauncher_64.exe MD5 Changed. I select the update and tell it to install. It performs the update as if everything was working normally. After the update it relaunches the Minionlauncher but the update I just installed shows again as a needed update. If I try to launch Minion at this point it will not start FFXIV.

At this point, if I look in the Minionapp folder I see the executable Minionlauncher_64.exe but it is only a 1KB file whereas the working executable was 4,194KB. I recover from this by deleting the just updated Minionlauncher_64.exe file and replace it with the copy I made before the update. I then restart Minionlauncher, ignore the update for Minionlauncher_64.exe and FFXIV launched normally, Minion attaches normally and all seems to work normally.

Although I am able to use the bot with this work around I am concerned if I can not perform this update it will eventually start causing problems. Any insight into how to get this update performed will be greatly appreciated.

I get an ERROR: Injection Failed when I attempt to attach the bot. Just signed up today so fresh install etc
