It seems like that this setting doesn't seem to work if the mob is attacking another person and not you

It happens for me when in FATEs and the mob has AOE but is not attacking me but rather another person

Any workaround?

I'll look into it, but there's nothing you could do to workaround it other than modifying the file yourself.
