Is there a way to whitelist a few FATEs to grind out some tokens for the currently-going event? Or is the only way just to blacklist everything else in the zone?

There is a blacklist type called "FATE Whitelist". Weird nomenclature but it should do what you want.

Just gave that a shot, it does not appear to work correctly. No matter what I enter in the "FATE Name" field, it adds whatever Fate 1 is (according to the dev monitor), which is currently "It's not Lupus".
EDIT: http://i.imgur.com/gJEFxyO.png is a picture of it. I tried adding "Long Way Home", but it added "Just a Matter of Rut", which is shown as #1 in the dev monitor currently.
