I don't have any solution for you, but there is an easy AFK method to max all gathering scrip via Fishing.I didn't realize could do this at all on mining/botany yet.
By far I found using Legendary Fisher to fish the various Fishing collectibles. Think I am good for the next few 4 weeks already , Have a retainer almost full of all the various Red Scrip fish now, i just turn in to cap on the reset, also got all the 3 gathering classes Blue Script x99 tokens doing the exact same method fishing Blue turn ins between the Red ones.
Not a solution , just an alternative. And you use the same gear as your miner, botanist already has.

Do you have a recommended gathering/perception/gp to farm those collectibles?
Not sure, but I will say that I have the best level 60 common crafted gear, not overmelded, and my stats are high enough.
Well I have the best in slot accessories fully melded from 2.0 (Dodore/Rose Gold,)

It's basically 100% afk at the spot and gathers only 2 Chysahl Greens per node spawn (It only uses Discerning Eye + Methodical Appraise atm cause I'm not familiar with the skillmanager UI to get the best possible rotation)

1st attempt : Discerning > Impulsive > (Discerning Proc) > Single Mind > Impulsive > (Discerning Proc) > Methodical . 4 gathers
Seems to work like a charm, will test it some with some more gathers during the day
