Whats the best way to farm gil with it? Mining?

That question can be implied in many different facets. The best answer is to research what is the best and most proficient way to farm for your needs. I would suggest first checking the market boards and find something that sales quickly and easy to farm. That can come from Mining, Gathering, Hunting, even dungeons, spiritbonding, etc. Obtaining gil in FFXIV is relatively easy.
