each time we log in the default windows and addons will auto load and appear at their default locations all over the place and it would be good if we can arrange it to a certain location and save their positions.

Is there a file that i can set to "read-only" so that the location of the windows will persist through relogs? All i want is to close or open the window but the location will always remain the same and locked.

I do not believe this is possible atm, although I hope in the future something like you described can be implemented :)

Yes it is possible. Some modules implement it and I love it. Why the main doesn't have it I have not a clue :D
