How do you trigger enrage?

Don't quote me I'll have to find it but I read someone said after 10 minutes. Is this correct, chriskara?

The question is how do you survive that long?

Heard there is a sweet spot somewhere where he only does autoattacks at. Only the one aggro'ed has to be there. But if sb else gets aggro he will need to go there lol... weird..

If you move far enough away he'll only hit you with non-damaging abilities (like charm) and he doesn't reset, so you could aggro him and port away until enrage. Haven't seen what that's like on EX to determine how the fight would play out after; hopefully he just spams Judgment Bolt like how Titan spams Upheaval so you can just go back and beat him up, but someone will have to try it and find out. I'd probably wait 15 minutes on enrage just to be safe.

Tried that (on story mode), didn't work for me :( If it's working for you, can I get the pos you go to while waiting for the enrage?

Tired of DF. Tried this with a buddy of mine tonight.

Here's what I've tried and the results.

He has his autoattack, hitting for around 2000ish, regardless of where you are within the arena. Above = hit. Under = hit. 100 yalms above = still hit.
Once you're outside the area, he can still hit you with Chaos Strike, but it has no effect since you're unable to move outside of the arena anyway.
His enrage timer is roughly 10-11 minutes. After that point, he does his autoattack and spam Judgement Bolt. It's the autoattack that will get you.

We make two waypoints. One 20 yalms above the starting point. Another 100 yalms away from the starting point, outside of the arena. We hit him once and instantly teleport to the "Safe" waypoint, and wait for the enrage timer. We have successfully got him to enrage, but I have to manually teleport in and out for the WHM to recover enough MP for Cure III spam while we unload on Ramuh.

Our party composition is 7 ranged DPS and 1 WHM. All are above ilvl100.

I speculate that it can be done with Minion, but making a duty profile for it wouldn't be very feasible, since it requires the bot to do nothing for 10 minutes (and resulting in a kick).

wont necessarily result in a kick as long as you have skillprofiles that do a specific group/self skill on cooldown. A Bard can just spam its internal release, a BLM can spam manaward/wall, a whm can use shroud... examples

my 8 way split profile is in the duty section, and works fine with 7 dps / 1 healer

from what i heard enrage is around 10-14 mins
