problem when mmo updates - Mobileguey - 03-13-2016

  • What OS are you running? Windows 10 
  • What AV is installed?(Antivirus) Windows Defender
  • Where is the bot installed?(installed path) C:\MINIONAPP
  • Do you have any Anti-Malware installed? No
  • Do you have Mumble, Teamspeak, Fraps, any other recording software, Nvida Gamers Experience, Raptr, Caytalist Control Center, guildworks,Teamviwer installed? none 
  • Did you follow the install instructions found HERE Yes, bot was working up until this afternoon
  • Are you running the bot as admin? Yes
  • Are you running any Bot addons? No
While mmo is trying to update, Windows Defender pops up and says it found some malware and is removing it.  At which point the mmo window is up is still up and doesn't update.  

I've run a full scan, and have uninstalled mmo and did a fresh install and still happens.

Yes, it's known. For the time being, you can whitelist the minionapp folder.
M$ didn't wake up properly. Submitting report to their website shows that it's actually not infected click but defender still wants to delete it.

 Yeah same issue, Defender is picking up minionlauncher.exe as a virus. You can always jut allow it through defender, I'd imagine its false unless something slipped through...

Same issue with Gw2... It's in general after the last update from windows... sigh did they finaly decided to improve defender ? ^^


It's this file giving troubles : Win32/Fethar.A!plock ----- C:\MINIONAPP\Temp\0\MinionLauncher.exe
