Select Items on preloaded NavMesh?
#1
I know that you can build your own mesh and set points but I'm still working on that and trying to figure out the kinks.

Right now I'm trying to figure out how to set items to gather on the preloaded nav mesh. It auto defaults to the very first item. I went into the gather manager and tried to set the "item priority" to what I want to get, but it won't gather that item. Any suggestions? I tried to search the forums but came up empty...

Thanks!

be careful with spelling, Upper-/Lowercase letters is important. Must be exactly spelled as it's on the node, and it will get saved with the mesh (it's in the .info file taht isn't overwritten on update)

I checked that out, I made sure to spell "The Item" right without quotations and to capitalize as well. All I did was open up the item priority and spell it correctly though. Do I need to go up to each point and somehow "set it" and then assign what I want to farm?

as long as there's nothing set, it will always get the first reachable item (that also means if there's the "?" items in there, it usually will get the shard as that's visible). I usually run each marker, set the items I want, and then let it run.
Edit: If like I you need just some specific item from a map, without leveling plans, I just set that item for that node, and set the others to shards, most of the time it's the same shard throughout the map.

My apologies, when you say "run each marker" I know you mean set the markers you want on the preloaded meshes, that's what I can't figure out how to do. Once I run up to the marker, how do I select it, put it in the route/select the item to farm?

Sorry for the noobishness and thanks for the help.

easy... when I don't know, what is where, and I try to level, I run to each marker (using mesh manager, "move to marker", be careful it doesn't stealth ;)), look at the gathering nodes (by starting to gather one manually) and set in gather manager what I want for that marker. Do that for each marker that it will run to (depending on your setting of "Ignore marker levels").
If you know what's there, or you only care for one item, just run to that marker and look into a node, or set it directly in gather manger (you need to have it discovered before).
In simple terms (I hope): Gather Manager directs what you gather. If there's nothing set, or you set something that isn't discovered, it will get the first item. So you have to set that for each marker.

Im also having trouble with this as well. Ive tried re installing even to fix the .info files and it still tries to dig up the first item.

Edit: Nvm I saw another post about ignoring marker level
