disable win defender

xD the installguide clearly sais what to do regarding these two things :P

You may have misread, as i stated in my first post what i had done:

This is on a new PC, no anti-virus, fresh install, no add-ons, super vanilla mode, running as admin in WIN 8

The fix was in fact using MinionApp rather than the download i made from my user CP which was not the minionapp but the old minion updater.

regardless, works fine now.
