I think this would be a good idea if you created a mod that managed it automatically, since that would allow more data and you could easily see if you're competitive.
That is, have it upload not just your character class and level, but also include stats, skill profile, any relevant grind settings, and maybe the zone (probably should avoid any further location info, mob names, etc for anti-detection reasons- or maybe make it optional).
The mod could then list your xp/hr and tell you what percentile you're in compared to others for a given level/class. Then if you're lower than you'd like, you can lookup the stats/skill profile of someone who was higher.
If you're not up for coding a tool to automate it and instead will collect the data by hand, I'd still recommend keeping track of some basic stats and the skill profile.
