MMOMinion now comes with a trojan?
#1
When updating the app Windows Defender immediately quarantines part of the update as it's a trojan. Never had issues before, why include a trojan now?

Recent windows updated picks it up as a typical false positive, this kinda thing has happened many times in it past.
You'll wanna go into Windows Defender > Virus & Threat Protection > Virus & Threat Protection Settings > Exclusions and add your Minionapp FOLDER as an exclusion.
You may also need to remove Quarantined items if it has issues updating after that.

Was having same issue, I updated app yesterday and used immediately after it worked fine, but after my morning scan it stopped working (telling me the minion app bot or game client paths were incorrect) and noticed a 'trojan' in my windows threats, did this and works perfectly :) definitely a false positive thanks Husbandomax

The trojan is related to some crypto currency mining code, which seems strange to me, since the time machine option was apparently removed? is the bot mining crypto without my consent?

No.

Thry have been transparent with the fact it will be part of the bot.

This does not mean it is active or will force anyone to mine at all.

But it will still have the code to mine if people decide too.

So share the code and let's decide if it's active or not?

Is this mining why my internet lags out after the bot is ran? I have to restart my PC after I run the bot to clear it up.

Ah ok. Just odd how this internet issue started within the past month or so, maybe 2 months.
