Previous Combo Skill and Previous Skill ID will both exist. Previous Combo Skill will check directly against the client's API though, using the information found in Player.lastcomboid.

The version of devmonitor above shows lastcomboid at the bottom, in the PlayerInfo section.
The client does not always update this as expected though, so check that the ability you're checking against populates this field.
