It works great and is probably the fastest way to get from 1-70 in a very low-touch manner. You'll still have to manually run through some dungeons when prompted to do so for the MSQ and to unlock flying for some zones, but it's not too bad.
All your gear can come from questing 1-60, and at 60 you'll have enough Allagan Tomestones of Poetics and 10 Silver Chocobo Feathers to get fully geared up for the trip to 70.
Minion FFXIV has its own Discord channel, and most support/questions go through there. That's why the forums are fairly tame in participation.
